Just like Bissell is the name to turn to for high pile carpets, the hardwood floor and tile vacuums are dominated by Hoover. In terms of what you get for your money the Hoover FloorMate Deluxe is your best bet for several reasons. For one, it uses 2 layers of counter rotating brushes that scrub your floor and tiles using soapy water to dislodge even deep rooted stains and dirt. Once the scrubbing is done, the Hoover FloorMate Deluxe uses an 11.5” nozzle to quickly suck the water back and dry the floor so it is perfectly safe to be used on even old floors that have developed deep cracks. In fact the soft tip brushes are perfect for this type of floors because they can reach deep in those creases and leave the floor perfectly clean. And the fact that the Hoover FloorMate Deluxe has earned a 4.2 star rating from over 480 customers should be enough to convince that your floors are perfectly safe when using it.
2. BISSELL PowerEdge Corded Vacuum for Tile Floors

Our second choice for the best vacuum for tile floors could not be more different than the Hoover. For one it does not use water but instead relies on its powerful suction motor and its V shaped head directs all debris to the center suction path. The other significant fact is that the BISSELL PowerEdge is 4 times cheaper than the Hoover and, in fact, it is the cheapest tile floors vacuum that is worth buying. The suction head swivels around so you can fit it anywhere at any time. Finally, consider the fact that it was the vacuum of choice for over 1,800 customers who came back to award the BISSELL PowerEdge a average rating of 4.3 stars on Amazon. And once you are done cleaning, the dirt cup can be easily removed and emptied in the trash.
3. Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub for Tile Floors

There is a reason why Hoover dominate the tile floor market and that reason is their vacuums’ ability to wash and scrub the floor and to suck that water back up into a separate tank. The fact that the clean and dirty water are kept separately makes it possible not only to clean the floors in your house, but to sanitize them as well since you are not just spreading dirt around. The Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub was designed to be used in large houses or even offices, with larger water tanks, an extra wide 13” squeegee, and a 20 foot cord. The only reason why the SpinScrub is not our favorite is because it is the older model, and they used it to work out all the bugs out of the system. The Deluxe is a more reliable machine although it is somewhat smaller so it really is up to you to decide if you need than 1” and a half on the squeegee.
4. Hoover Max Extract 77 Hard Floor Deep Cleaner

If you are willing to pay a little extra the Hoover Max Extract might just be the ultimate vacuum for tile floors. In fact its biggest advantage is its powerful vacuuming motor that allows it to suck the water out of dirty carpets just as easily as it does from the floor. So what you end up with is a vacuum for virtually every surface in your house. Its front nozzle too is different from the ones on the other Hoover vacuums because it not only distributes water but actually has a pressurized system and it sprays the water deep into the cracks of the floor or the depths of the carpets, dislodging any dirt it encounters. It may cost a little bit extra but you have to realize that you are getting 2 vacuum cleaners in 1.

When it comes to cleaning floors some families will need that little bit extra level of sanitization that the Hoover comes with, but others may just need to pick up the dirt and fur that pets bring in. If that is all you need to do, there is really no point in paying the extra money when the Bissell Lift-Off is a much lighter, cheaper alternative. It is actually a cordless vacuum that can get under any piece of furniture and around each table corner. You can then detach the actual motor and the dust bag and use it as such to vacuum stairs or furniture just like you would with a car vacuum.
